Arrears
This might have been asked before.
I've had a letter from the CSA informing me that my arrears payments
are to go up, the reason being it's the new government policy of
paying off the arrears in 2 years.
Is this correct or the usual bulls**t.
Regards
Gary

I should add that I got a letter from them on 3rd Sept with my payment
schedule for the coming year, this letter showed that my monthly
arrears payments were the same as they have been for the last 7 years,
the only change was a small rise in the regular payment of about £1-50/
month. They don't give a reason for that rise.

Re: Arrears
Oh yes they think because they decree it's to be paid in two years that you
should just jump to attension, shut up and pay up,
Errrrrrr well NO is the answer to that one. By law any arears have to be
negociable, they can't simply demand you pay more. So polietly write to them
and tell them that your over extended as a result of payments and current
arrears payments, your up to your eyeballs in ever increasing debt and it's
increasing to the poiunt where working may nolonger be an option and believe
it or not you do actually have to retain a few pounds after your weary
labour for such little things in life such as as seeing and catering caring
for your childrens needs and ofcourse you know it's a luxury but Eating food
is so nice so you just can't quite see your way clear to shovelling more
money to these utter bastards now or in the forseable future so much as you
too would like to eradicate you debt quickly, just like the greedy thieving
government it won't be fucking happning, payments will continue as
previously agreed.

Re: Arrears
Never pay a peny to these bastards unless you know exactly what its for and
its fully justified, start writing demanding to know exatly what it is and
if it's an increase in arrears payments then tell them no way your paying
it.
Never pay by standing order
Best way is several cheques a month never of the same vaulue 4 one month 3
the next 5 the next all different amounts but comming to the overall agreed
amount in total, it drives them nuts! and they have to spend time dealing
with it.
The more people doing this the better

Re: Arrears
Yeh but its bullshit!
The thieving government would 'like' arrears in two years but it won't
happen, its just another stick for CSA scubmags to hit with. Some people
have arrears of 30, 40,50k So it's bullshit to say that's going to be paid
in 2yrs. And in many cases if they do take 40% then its time to pack in and
go unemployed, its the fillthy system they run forcing emigration,
unemployment and recreatinmg poverty traps.
e.g. 40% of 50k after tax and dedutions still leaves a healthy 18k to live
on whereas 40% of minum wage leaves starvation and no insentive to work at
all, Goverment logic is that after a weeks toil you should be happy to have
50 quid more than dole money but that doesent include other benetfit,
mortguage payments, council tax reductions etc so unemployment becomes
attractive 1.7 million currently unemployed 1.1 million imigrans now working
in UK
Maybe some of these fat arssed lazy overpaid useless polaticians should wake
up and smell the coffee
Anyway everyone should fight refuse kick puncjh and bite at any asttempt by
these cretins to squeeze you for more money, more so when its often their
total incompetence that created the problem.
Morning rant over
Thats better, now talking of coffee...

Re: Arrears
Hey, top rant Fletch - keep that fire burning!
Same goes for all other NRPs - don't let the CSA scum grind you down!
<rant>
The CSA have to change quick smart. And given the pressure exerted
by many 1000's of responsible and self-respecting NRPs refusing to
kow
tow to them and be made complete and utter mugs of, things are
slowly moving to CMEC - but god knows what misery that will unleash...
Apparently, 62,000 NRPs owe the scum £200 million - they're all from
six cities: Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham,
and Cardiff.
Keep it up boys...

Re: Arrears
They tried the same thing with my partner earlier in the year, I rang on his
behalf and with some advice from NACSA managed to get the arrears to stay
the same. Arrears are negotiable ... hope this helps!!

I've received another letter from them now.
They've transferred me to CSA2 from CSA1 , the amount I pay has gone
down now, mainly because they are using the figures I gave them 7
years ago at the start of the case.
No mention of arrears in this letter.
I think she has split from her boyfriend and a case has been started
for the child they have between them.
My payment was £55/week the new assessment is £35/week but with the
phasing to prevent any hardships that might occur my payments have
dropped by £5 to £50/week.
She's on benefits so the phasing makes no difference to her.
I've been paying £20/week too much for the last 4 years because of
their blunders with CSA2 and the delay in transferring cases over.
£20/week for 4 years = 52.2 x £20 = £1044 x 4 = £4176
That's 4 times the amount they say I owe in arrears i've overpaid
already and now they want me to continue paying too much over the next
few years to save hardship to who.
This must be the con of the century.

Re: Arrears
to save hardship to who.... The treasury dept, this poor neglegent
government needs to steal your money from you by deception, by telling you
it takes this money from you for child support when it's really to off set
your ex's benefits.
Nothing like a good old Government Lie TO KEEP EVERYONE PAYING
Oh its a con alright, that's for sure.
