He says they have done the %'s for the 2 kids
but they want on top, travel costs etc for ex wife to take kids to school

Re: assessed on new system
It is a flat 20% off his net pay for two kids on CSA2, nothing else at all.
If it's above that it's wrong and about a third of all their assesments are
wrong, tell him to check it to the penny, don't give them a direct debit
either or they'll help themselves. The only other thing they can take is
money towards any outstanding arrears but by law he can negociate what that
is but ultimatly they can go to 40% and they have been know to take over
60%, all illegal of course but it's the mindless morons of the British
Gestapo he's dealing with, the provisional wing of the treasury.

Has he been assessed by the CSA, or by a solicitor using the CSA new
system as a guide, and adding on the 'extras'? The CSA can not add on
travel costs etc.

Re: assessed on new system
That is incredibly excessive. On a wage like that, not even a DEO with
maintenance and arrears at 40% would hit that much. Something seriously
wrong there.
If he has letters from the CSA to that amount, he needs to talk to someone
fast and at the very least get an appeal in. 40% is the most that can be
taken by law and that includes arrears, the highest for normal maintenance
would be 25% for 3 or more kids.
