Am I the PWC?
Hi,
Since March, update on previous posts
My 17 year old daughter spends 50% of her nights with us and 50% at a
friend's family as it is better for access to school/friends for her.
She is a transformed person and everyone comments how much happier she
is.
Very little contact from her Mother at all now who suddenly after 10
years has got a job........
CSA case closed and I ensure that she is not a financial burden on her
friend's parents. I got the Child Benefit for her awrded after
explaining the circumstances.
Would I qualify as a PWC even though my daughter is with me part
time?
Thanks,
Fred.

Re: Am I the PWC?
Yep, If you hold the benefit book you are the PWC and shes still in fulltime
education then you will be awarded CSA payments.
This system is based around the benefit book so much so that it's irelevent
that your daughter is with friends 50% of the time, if you hold the benefit
book and she doesent spend any time with the mother then you are technicaly
the PWC for 100% of the time. CSA are only interested in those two facts. So
if your ex is now working she's a potential CSA target, just start the ball
rolling and she'll be immersed in intant CSA finacial hell.
