CSA name & shame policy scrapped
The Child Support Agency (CSA) acknowledges the ineffectiveness of the
proposed naming and shaming policy.

Controversial government plans to 'name and shame' fathers who have failed
to pay maintenance have been suspended after it's lack of success. The
website detailing 'deadbeat dads' has met with significant criticism as an
ineffectual scheme which would have little benefit for anyone involved,
least of all the child.

In that case remove the names form the CSA website!
Is the government finally beginning to realise that this is not the way to
achieve a successful child support program? Do we have to continue spelling
it out, showing the world in black and white the awe things that are being
done in the name of child support?

Quote:

"As long as government are perceived as acting in the best interests of
children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty."

Adolf Hitler

Presumably at least some of them were bright enought to see exactly where
that was going to end up.
If they do bin this idiotic name and shame policy and remove the lists from
their website we will discontinue collecting personal info on their staff
and concentrate on their polices and actions

Re: CSA name & shame policy scrapped
No official anouncement or fanfare - forced to admit it was another
example of CSA getting it badly wrong - it was hidden in a written
reply in Hansard just before they all disappeared on holiday -not, of
course, that ayone in the country would have forseen such a policy not
working.
