nil assessment
i,ve been on incapacity benefit previously got a nil assessment .
Circumstances havn't changed still unable to work. Now got a letter
asking me to set up a standing order. struggling as it is .Question
can the CSA deduct from incapacity benifit?.

Not as the law stands at the moment no. DEOs can only be taken from
earnings. However they can ask you to make a contribution from your benefit
to clear any arrears, which i assume is what the letter is asking you to
repay?
Whilst you are not employed, their options are limited in measures to
recover the debt...but thats not to say they wont use them if they feel it
necessary.
