Move to New Rules
Currently on old rules and paying nearly £500 a month. One of my kids has
recently moved in with me. Ex refused to do a private deal for the other
kids so I have decided to make a claim against her for maintenance. Is it
possible that this will move me onto the new rules as this would make my
payments be about half of what I'm paying now?

Re: Move to New Rules
Yes your case will move to CS2, but it will be phased, so you wont find a
jump directly to the new amount...it will reduce over a max. period of 5
years.

Re: Move to New Rules
Will the new reassessment be done automatically or do they have to be
reminded? I think I might have been transferred onto the new system already
because my account number is now different (The latest reassessment was
still done on the 'old rules' formula but came through on a different style
and layout of printout with a different account number).

Also the CSA aren't collecting the new amount until August - will phasing
still apply if the 'new rules' assessment is done before the pwc doesn't
actually receive and get used to the latest 'old rules' amount of
maintenance?

Re: Move to New Rules
Will the new reassessment be done automatically or do they have to be
reminded? I think I might have been transferred onto the new system already
because my account number is now different (The latest reassessment was
still done on the 'old rules' formula but came through on a different style
and layout of printout with a different account number).

Also the CSA aren't collecting the new amount until August - will phasing
still apply if the 'new rules' assessment is done before the pwc doesn't
actually receive and get used to the latest 'old rules' amount of
maintenance?
