Consumer woodlands are not wildlfe friendly.
I seldom agree with gamekeepers as they part of the game killing scene
but on this occasion I do.
People let their dogs run wild in woodlands with no thought for the
adverse effects on wildlife. Organisations like the Woodland Trust,
who should know better, allow dogs to run wild in their woodlands
without any superviaion whatsoever and at the same time try to claim
their woodands benefit wildlife. Regrettably, on many occasions the
only "wildlife" to benefit are those in shell suits and trainers.

Re: Consumer woodlands are not wildlfe friendly.
This is true in parks too. In central London, the parks are full of
out-of-control dogs chasing and killing wildlife! Many animals, like
ducklings, don't stand a chance. And it's sick to then see the dog
owner laughing and saying something like 'third one this week ha
ha'.It's an offence to allow your dog to harass or injure wildlife but
I've never seen anybody stopped. I suspect park-keepers only want a
pretty park with pretty flowers. Animals are probably a nuisance and
they are quite happy to see them killed.

Mind you there's no shortage of ducks in central London.
