Nope. Bitterns are known to be very assiduous in checking the sell-by

First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.

Excellent substitutes for 'no' and 'yes' when one wants to distinguish
a jocular response from a serious one on Usenet. Emoticons are getting
a bit 'passé', don't you think?
Real language evolves. That's what makes it interesting - not the
awful, tedious, grammatical farting and tap dancing we had to learn at
school. As much as we love to hate American mangling of English
language, there is no doubt they have brought new life to the way it
is used colloquially.
