Woodland Trust: Bunch of Crooks!
The Woodland Trust doesn't mind using the word "slaughter" as a
synonym for potential culling when it suits them but took me to court
to stop me using the word against them when they kill deer in case it
affected their income.

Perhaps the author/editor hadn't been advised of WT policy regarding the use
of the word 'slaughter' to describe culling?

Have you seen the date at the top of the page? It appears to have taken
Angus over two years to spot the word!

No, I hadn't read the date. I don't suppose you know whether a 'correction'
has been issued in the two years since the offending word 'slaughter' was
published?

I think Angus would have won his case to use that word if he hadn't put
his emotive stuff on his web site that masqueraded as being from the WT.

Didn't the WT offer to waive costs if he let them have the domain name?

I seem to remember this. It would have been a sensible thing to offer I
think.

Angus certainly beat them to the draw on that domain name :-)

I offered to sell it to them for £100,000 to be given to charities of
my choice.

They declined by not responding. Not very charitable of them.

They can have it now for £500,000 on the same conditions.

Next time it'll be £1m.

Perhaps they didn't want to see £100,000 of their money going to the RSPB?
