As Bill Sees It (Editorial): Rockland County, New York Blasts Aviation Cabal
Stooge Rep. John Mica!!! As a New Yorker I am happy to see that some of my
neighbors are not letting the Aviation Cabal (airlines, FAA and corrupt
political stooges) destroy their quality of life and sleep without a fight.
Unfortunately, while Rockland communities have the support of their local
politicians, "their" state governor (the infamous Eliot Spitzer) and
Senators Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton are strangely quiet on this
decibal assault on health and sleep of their Rockland County constituents.
As Schumer, in my opinion, is one of the main architects of the Airspace
Redesign scheme, I would think he would be in Rockland County telling people
about how their sacrifice will help share a few minutes of the delays at
Newark Airport. Sleazy New York Politicians Ignoring New York County's Plea
For Help!!! Perhaps "Chuck" doesn't have time as he has been very busy
REDUCING helicoper noise over the Nassau and Suffork Counties in New York!!!
Hillary's Excuse For Ignoring Rockland County's Plight!!! At least Hillary
has an excuse for running away from her constituents; she is running for
president. No doubt she has spend a lot of time running around getting more
funds as she had to give back a lot of her illegally donated campaign funds
back to people who have been convicted of fraud like Norman Hsu (pictured
with Hillary on the right) Recently convicted Hsu, who some believe to be a
front man working for the Chinese Communists, recently got a 3 year
sentence. I hope the people of Rockland County don't forget how they were
sold out by their representatives when election time comes around.
Unfortunately, it won't be soon enough as these slimy politicians still have
years of selling out their constituents to their corporate and union
contributors ahead of them.
Newark Airport Close Call, More Planes Mean More Near Collisions And
Crashes!!! Something that is almost never mentioned when the Aviation Cabal
announces that they are going to increase an airport's "capacity" is safety.
There seems to be an unusual amount of near-misses and airport accidents
lately. If they continue there will be no doubt that the FAA's constantly
pushing the capacity envelope is to blame. They are not called the
"tombstone agency" for nothing.

Dist.) to heed a prior demand that he step down from the House
Transportation Committee and Aviation Subcommittee, New York environmental
group "Quiet Rockland", acting in solidarity with the strength of thousands
of petition-signatories, 300,000 Rockland County NY neighbors, and millions
of affected residents in four other Northeast states, today served Freedom
Of Information Act (FOIA) demands upon Mica at his six (6) Florida offices,
as well as mirrored FOIA demands on the USDOT and FAA. The FOIA's
requisition all documents implicating Mica, as well as his campaign donors
and donations, in the FAA's hotly-contested and litigated "NY/NJ/PHL
Airspace Redesign". Said John J. Tormey III, Esq. of "Quiet Rockland": "Our
grassroots group has learned to keep its press releases short, as a 'thanks'
to the many journalists who have covered our plight to date. John L. Mica
misused his position in government to personally peddle the FAA's horrific

FAA: Air Traffic Controller Made "Wrong Airport" Mistake At Newark Airport:
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - An air traffic controller mistakenly gave a passenger
jet the frequency for the wrong airport, an error that put that plane and
another landing at Newark Liberty International Airport much closer than
they should have been, authorities said Thursday. The Federal Aviation
Administration is investigating the near miss, which occurred at 2:10 p.m.
Wednesday between a Boeing 737 and an Embraer 145. The Boeing operated as
Continental Flight 536 arriving from Phoenix and the Embraer was Continental
Express Flight 2614 arriving from Halifax, Nova Scotia. According to FAA
spokesman Jim Peters, an air traffic controller at the New York Terminal
Radar Approach center on Long Island, which guides planes landing at New
York area airports before turning them over to airport towers, mistakenly
gave the Continental Express crew the frequency for the tower at nearby
Teterboro Airport instead of the Newark airport. As a result, the Newark
tower was temporarily unable to contact the crew as both planes approached
Newark. They eventually were separated by 1 1/4 horizontal miles, or less
than half the three-mile nose-to-tail requirement set by the FAA for planes
landing at the airport, Peters said. In addition, the planes were 600 feet
apart in altitude, much closer than the minimum required vertical separation
of 1,000 feet. Both planes landed safely and arrived at the gate about 15
minutes apart, according to Continental. Ray Adams, vice president of the
air traffic controllers union at the Newark airport, rejected the FAA's
preliminary conclusion and attributed the incident to the FAA's procedures
for landings at Newark. "We're disputing the fact that the controller made
an error," Adams said.

England: Lucky Escape For Heathrow Airport Boeing 777 Plane Passengers: THE
engines of the British Airways plane which crash-landed at Heathrow Airport
failed to respond to commands for more power during the final stage of its
descent, air accident investigators have found. Senior First Officer John
Coward, left, who was at the controls at the time of the crash, and Captain
Peter Burkill The catastrophic systems failure occurred when the Boeing 777
was 600ft above ground and two miles from the runway. Three attempts to
increase thrust, first by the autopilot, which was controlling the aircraft,
and then by the flight crew using the throttle levers, produced no response
from the Rolls-Royce engines. The initial air accident report, released
yesterday, stated: "The aircraft then descended rapidly and struck the
ground, some 1,000ft short of the paved runway surface, just inside the
airfield boundary fence." It stated that the investigation was now focused
on more detailed analysis of information from the aircraft's flight
recorder, collecting other recorded information from the plane and
"examining the range of aircraft systems that could influence engine
operation".
