Brewery on the Wandsworth Rd
A postman friend o' mine says he often gets mail for a brewery on the
Wandsworth Rd, London, not the Ram brewery! He said a colleague told
him it was Budweiser.

The Crudweiser rice fermenting plant is in Mortlake, roughly 4 miles
away, so it's an understandable mistake if the letters are addressed
to a brewery in south west London.

Sambrook's Brewery at Yelverton Road, Battersea SW11, was established
last year; one of the partners being David Welsh, formerly of Ringwood.
They brew Wandle Ale. Could this be the brewery?

Presumably your postman friend has the ability to actually read the name
on the letters?

The is the old Plough Brewery on the cnr of Wandsworth Road and
Silverthorne Road. It's defunct, but the offices that now inhabit the old
yards are still addressed as being @ The Plough Brewery. That could be it.

The company I worked for until recently had the address "[company name],
Tun Yard, Peardon Street, [etc]", which is in the rear yard of the brewery
grounds.

I think that's the one - the Plough Brewery. He received the letters
very rarrely. He is in the SW18 area and it was only the rare mis-
addressed letter (SW18 instead of SW8) that he would see.
