Princess Louise, Holborn
1210 pm
I wandered into the princess louise. there are a lot of bars and I
think I may have wandered into the gay bar. There were some really
fruity men hanging around there!
But the pub is even better than when I first remember it when I came
to London aged zero. It looks like a brown fully decorated christmas
tree that has fallen over. And it is owned by the most eccentric
brewer in the land: good old Sam Smith's, so I paid £1.90 for a pint
of good bitter (not great though).
That must be one of the biggest bargains in the whole West End!

Walk back towards Centre Point along St Giles and try the same in 'The
Angel'.

It closed for a while for some kind of work for a year or two ago. Not
modernisation, thankfully!
