There are three pub-based beer festivals in Heavy Woollen district in the

The Black Bull are holding their first charity beer festival in association
with the Round Table and Brass Monkey Brewery.
Please note times - Saturday 12-9 and Sunday 12-4.
18 independent beers expected. Attractive, dated festival glass. Glass and 7
half-pint beer tokens for £10.

All buses pass through Birstall market place - look for Priestley's statue.
Best bus from Dewsbury is the 283, taking under 30 minutes; 281 and 282 take
longer.
From Bradford, use 283.
From Leeds, 229 (30 mins) is best, 209 and 220 also.
From Huddersfield, 220 or 229.
Timetables at www.wymetro.com.

On Thursday, 4th June, the famous West Riding at Dewsbury railway station
begins its Summer beer festival.
Full details and tasting notes are on the pub's website,
www.imissedthetrain.com under Events.

Fri 19 - Sun 21st June sees the Navigation, Mirfield holding their 3rd beer
festival, with around 25 beers, mostly from renowned family and regional
brewers, all cellar-cooled and handpulled, a stone's throw from Mirfield
railway station.
