Barrow Hill Beer Festival
Just a reminder that it's the Barrow Hill Beer Festival on Friday and
Saturday (15th / 16th May).
The setting - in an old railway round house - is one of the better
venues, surrounded, as you are, by steam engines (some actually in
steam) and other relics of that era.
Even better, there's a courtesy bus running from Chesterfield station
to the festival. It returns by the Derby Tup, a well run Tynemills pub
serving Castle Rock beers and loads of guests.
On your return to Chesterfield, you'll have had such a good time, you
won't be able to see straight! Just have a look at the church spire if
you don't believe me ; )

But this question crops up every year. The hourly bus shuttle is great, but
that's all we know - the actual time each hour tends to be a closely guarded
secret, making it as useful as a pint of Fosters.
I plan to get there by service bus and if my train happens by chance to
connect with the shuttle bus, well that's a bonus.
