Henny Swan
I heard recently that the Henny Swan (near Sudbury, Suffolk) had closed? Is
this true? If so, any ideas why?

It was certainly shut a week or two ago when we went there at
lunchtime. However, as it was a Monday and many country pubs in
these parts don't open on Mondays, we didn't think any more of
it.
No other news, I'm afraid.

Just in case you don't know the 'new' "Black adder brewery tap" in East Street
Sudbury is brilliant. Good beers (some on gravity) and a 'proper pub
atmosphere' with no music etc. Sells mostly Maldons. Great to find a pub well
served by public transport in these parts. 5 minutes from bus and rail station
and some buses go right past the front door.
The Lamarsh Lion is still open and fine when I visited 3 months ago.

Yes. Now reborn. (Black foal perhaps?)
