Portsmouth
Got to spend Saturday night in Portsmouth this weekend before catching the
Ferry Sunday morning to the land of Jenlain and 1664.
Anybody know any decent pubs near the Travelodge/Ferry Terminal?
Interestingly a few years ago all the pubs in Portsmouth in the GBG were
near there - now none of them are - they all seam to be in Southsea or the
City Centre.
Is that because they have massively deteriorated or does the local branch
not bother surveying the whole city?
.

Mr Rigg, I do wonder whether you've got out of the wrong side of your
bed today.
Not only do you criticise Bradford CAMRA in a subsequent post, you
now also accuse the Portsmouth CAMRA branch of 'not bothering' to
survey the whole of their area. I hope you contacted the branch and
checked the facts before making your comments.

Perhaps I did - was feeling a little crabby yesterday,
Must admit did go to Oldham beer festival and it was pretty good though not
very busy, on Saturday afternoon at any rate. I've had a look at the
Portsmouth Branch website and its not very helpful. Not much help there
though they have a branch magazine called ale mail which I will print our.
However the last issue on their website is Summer 2008. I'll have a read
through it.
