haggis bon bons - pre cook?
We had haggis bon bons recently and they feature a bit on the web but no
recipe. I'm happy to invent one except for the need to pre cook before deep
frying.
I'm thinking of making 1 inch balls rolled in oatmeal, then fry. Do I need
to steam the haggis first?

(The haggis is freshly shot from Mull)

It may be freshly shot (I prefer mine humanely trapped else the shot can
get in your teeth), but all haggis is sold fully cooked.

You only have to heat it up so it doesn't matter whether you heat it by
boiling or frying.

Thanks! They worked OK but were nothing special, the mustard mash and
haggis cakes for breakfast were actually better.
