Does anyone know any online/London stockists of these mats?
Thanks.

(But do hang on. Martin, our resident cunt will be along shortly to tell you
where you can get a cheaper secondhand one with instructions in assorted
languages.)

Thanks Pete. I should have stated in the OP that I was after one a bit
smaller. That one won't fit in my oven! :)
Have seen this on amazon http://tinyurl.com/ykbzujl , but not sure of the
quality compared with the Silpat. Its the same size as the Silpat I already
have (29.5cm x 420cm), so will fit the alu sheets I have for it. Might give
it a whirl unless you/anyone else is aware of them in different sizes.
Cheers.

Hard to tell from that if the quality will be as good as the Silpat though
the two reviewers seem quite happy.
To be honest, I've done away with my silicone oven sheet now, first because
I no longer bake as much as I used to, and secondly, as I get older I want
to do as little as I have to in the clean-up stakes after baking/cooking. I
now use Tesco's unbleached non-stick baking paper which is silicone coated,
an 8 metre roll for GBP 1.12. It has withstood very hot ovens for bread
rolls etc without singeing/burning and I find dough cooks better on it than
on silicone. Just cut it to size and chuck it away when finished. (It does
say it can be reused but I've not tried.) I also tried out a similar roll
from Lidl's but that did singe and start to burn over 250 C.
