Name of UK equivalent of Betty Crocker Cake Mix
I've been reading a lot about the 1950's and 60's in the US
lately with plenty of mentions of Betty Crocker Cake mixes. I'm
sure there was a UK equivalent of Betty Crocker - again based on a
woman's name maybe up until quite recently but I'm racked my brain
to think of it, with no success. Googling is of no help either.
Can anyone possibly remember the name?
TIA

I vaguely remember one but also remember seeing Betty Crocker cake-mixes
in the supermarket a few years ago. I also have a BC cook-book
(surprise, surprise:) but have never cooked anything from it.

It was called "Mary Baker Cake Mix". That was the first name I'd thought of.
But it was just so obvious calling a cake mix "Baker" that I thought it must
be just wishful thinking on my part. And so I put it to the back of my mind
without first checking it out.
