Heh heh, I won...
the contest for raising ovarian cancer awareness. My recipe was
extraordinarily simple, but very useful piquante olive spread. So I won an
autographed copy of Gina de Palma's book of Italian desserts she developed
for Babbo, a top NY restaurant. (Desserts are my weak point, because I
don't love them.)

Congrats Guisi!
I'm envious. I love Gina de Palma's desserts! It doesn't happen to have the
recipe for "Schiacciata d'uva" does it? I don't know where I would get the
concorde grapes here...but everyone raves about this dessert. It's sadly
never been available when I have been at Babbo.

The real, original Italian recipe you can find at www.divinacucina.com as
written by my friend Judy Witt. It uses wine grapes, so you're in luck.
One would use concord grapes only in parts of the USA where wine doesn't get
made! Now is THE time to make it, as all my neighbors are making the wine
right now.

uva fragola? Strawberry grapes? I think - will have to check - that
there is such a grape vine available in this country.

Congratulations!
I must be a bit thick though, since I can't see how you raise awareness
of ovarian cancer with an olive spread?
