Foodie London - What not to miss?
Have some days in our Capital city planned for the week before Christmas and
would love some rec's on where not to miss.
On the list so far is Borough Market, Moro, St.Johns, New Tayyabs, and
either Goodmans or Maze Grill for steak. Would love to hear your London
faves/recs.
In addition, where can I get the best Dan Dan noodles in the city...have a
hankering. Also most welcome would be some recs on where to get the best Ale
the city has to offer.
Many thanks!

Wiki tells me it sichuan cooking. Is London a centre for that? If it is I
too would like to know where as it seems more attractive than the Cantonese
you usually get (you can probably tell by now I dont eat "chinese" much)
Google gives me "Barshu" in Soho, anybody been? What are the keynote
dishes?

Memories of China in Ebury Street used to be good many years ago,
although a tad expensive. Kenneth Lo's place.

is that sichuan?
(A lot of food guides on the web just have "chinese" as a category)

Thanks Mike! I'll check out a few of those places online and note them on
our map!
>Wish I knew what they were!
No expert on Sichuan myself, but last year enjoyed some awesome examples of
dan dan mian in NY. I'm sure you found out on Wiki, but they are noodles in
a spicy sauce with pickled veggies, topped with chilli oil and pork mince.
The ones I have tried are *hot*. I hadn't heard anything specific about
London excelling in Sichuan....I just figured there must be some good
examples out there somewhere! ;)
Thanks again.
