Incidentally for the Londoners the slow food group are having an event:

"Southbank Centre and Slow Food London have collaborated to create a 
special four-day event championing great food, the environment and 
sustainability from Thursday 18th – Sunday 21st September from 12pm - 9pm 
every day."

Great stuff, Richard.  There is also something at the end of September 
for three days (not foodie) where you can go to a West End theatre and 
see a rehearsal, or to the South Bank or even do a drawing course at the 
National Gallery.  Sounds great - but I expect you received the postcard 
with the Guardian this morning, just like I did:)

Only a flying visit, I'm afraid.  I'm square-eyed from 'playing' with the
new web site etc.  Among other things we have Guy's permission to upload his
kind remarks so that's gone on there today. It was a really nice surprise
and we've listed the Devon pub he was reluctant to divulge to the hoi polloi
as being a place for us to visit soon!  But I do have those square eyes
peeping in here from time to time!  ;-)
