That sounds neither boring nor British. Good for you.

Is there something wrong with British?

In my opinion, no. I have just left another news group that has a poster
trying to sell us down the river to the EU. We lived and fought with
half the AEU and won for the last few hundred years. Why should we
accept the Germans and French announcing that we should share 1
commissioner between Ireland and Great Britain just because the EU will
not accept the latest rejection by the Irish on a referendum because
they do not like it? We want our own referendum, and they certainly wont
like our result

Never said there was, but it is the OP who laments that with diabetes he has
a restricted diet that is becoming boring.

OK. You just made it sound as if there was.

Not really, it is more that the restrictions rule out certain traditional
"carb heavy" British meals which I used to occasionally eat as part of a
varied diet.
