Let's get this group going again
For a very hot curry sauce called Pakistani curry gravy

I cup milk
6 tbsp veg oil
400g tin tomatoes.
I tsp sugar (I leave this out)
salt to taste

Spices 1:
1 tsp chilli powder
4 tsps ground coriander
3 tsps tumeric
4 tsps garlic powder

Spices 2:
4 tsps paprika
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp dry fenugreek leaves (methi)

1. Mix spices 1 with a little of the milk into a paste and heat oil on a low
heat. Put the paste into the oil and fry gently for a few minutes, stirring
once or twice. Remove from the heat and cool a bit.
2. Liquidise the tomatoes in a blender and stir into the fried paste,
return to heat. Add salt and remaining milk. Stir continuously.
3. When solids start to separate from the oil, add Spices 2. If the sauce
is a little too thick add a little more milk.
4. Add pre-cooked meat, chicken, frozen seafood etc and simmer until ready.

Don't blame me if it blows your head off!

Well, let me know how you get on if you try it. It is fierce stuff but I
love it. My friend ate it but the perspiration was considerable.

Not sure I'd make it as written. Using milk in the first masala fry
sounds a bit... odd, and I'd tend more towards using ghee than oil.
Oh, and I'd also generally want to cook the meat in, so add tomatoes
after browning the meat with the spices.

Also I find the complete absence of onions rathe unusual, but the pice
mix combinations themselves do sound interesting.

Sounds good. If it's too hot you might try adding that sugar you say
you left out. Sweetness often helps to mellow a firey chilli mix.

I left it out because my friend is diabetic.
