Chiminea-tandoori oven?
Hi, I am thinking of making my own tandoori style oven. Here in the US, we
have outdoor clay fireplaces, called chimineas. I think they are originally
Mexican, but I am not sure. Anyway, I was thinking that if I could attach
a door, and maybe add some air flow holes, I might be able to use it for a
tandoori oven. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Tom

You're unlikely to get it hot enough. A Kamado or Big Green Egg will
get you closer. If you Google, you'll find perveyors of the real
thing and some DIY offerings.

Oops! That should read 'purveyors'. The concept of a 'Perveyor' might
be best discussed in other NGs.
