Carrot dish?
I got Indian take-out tonight and was surprised to see another
small container in addition to the usual two chutneys. This
one contained cooked carrot sticks, which were still warm.
They were slightly sour and slightly spicy. The discernible
seasonings were kalonji seeds and turmeric. Also, sliced
ginger. Anyone know what this might be? Is it just a carrot
pickle or some sort? Any recipes? This was yummy.

PS After some research, I gather they are a variant of a
carrot pickle.
