Russia "will do as it pleases"
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/09/21/europe/EU-Russia-Georgia.php
<quotes>
MOSCOW: Only Russia and the "states" of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will
decide how many troops Moscow can keep on their soil, Prime Minister
Vladimir Putin said Saturday, signaling the Kremlin will do as it pleases in
the separatist Georgian regions regardless of Western demands.
The statement was in frank defiance of calls by Georgia, the U.S. and the
European Union for a withdrawal of most Russian troops from the breakaway
territories, which only Russia and Nicaragua have recognized as independent
nations.
Thumbing its nose at Georgia and the U.S., South Ossetia rolled what Russian
media said were captured American-made Jeeps and Georgian tanks through the
streets of its capital in an Independence Day military parade.
The developments underscored the reality taking shape in the wake of last
month's war.
</quotes>
There's bound to be complaint at Russia's stance of 'defiance' and so-called
'provocative posturing' but the reality is that if it's good enough for
America to do as she pleases and don't need no permission slip from anyone,
then the same applies to Russia. To complain simply makes those who support
America and condemn Russia look like the hypocrites they are.
America can blame herself for dictating the rules by which the game is
played. US policy is never without blow-back.

Ah, but the whole idea is that America makes the rules for others. America
doesn't have to obey rules: that's for the little people.

If only the rest of the world would understand that America would have far
fewer problems.

No doubt. But there are always two Americans who get in the way.
Fat Chance, and Sam Hopes.
And their motto is: Never Give A Sucker An Even Break.
So by now, whenever an American is sighted, everyone knows exactly what to
do.
