N Korea shrugs its shoulders at US
The whole North Korea getting nukes outcome was a result of America reneging
on previous deals and it looks like it's gone the same way again, the US
failing to do what North Korea was promised in return for dismantling its
nuclear capabilities.
In response North Korea has resorted to, 'Have it your own way; you don't
stick to deals, then neither will we. Doesn't bother us', as they set about
reversing the dismatling they've been engaged in. Seems perfectly reasonable
to me. If America cannot keep its side of a bargain it has to expect the
obvious consequences of that.

We neither wish nor expect to be delisted as a 'state sponsor of terrorism,'
" the North's state-run news agency, KCNA, quoted a ministry spokesman as
saying. "We can go our own way."

It's surprising anyone trusts the US anyway, so full marks for North Korea
in having the guts to at least give the benefit of the doubt, and full marks
for simply shrugging off the proof that such benefit of doubt was
mis-placed.
The only party damaged in this is America. If it wants to earn any respect
or trust it needs to get its policy in order. Do what it promises and stop
behaving as if it has impunity to do whatever it feels. Such arrogance only
leaves it in a worse position than it was. Its imagined super-power
dominance is well on the wane.
