scallywags!  I did expect it to start rainin' Halifax shareholders before 
the morrow, but the storm was abated by the villainous Brown, who cares not 
for permittin' long term monopolies so long as he can avoid a little 
short-term notoriety.... the scurvy dog is foolin' no-one!

Ahoy there!  I took thee for becalmed and lost in the Sargasso Sea!

I usually be an owl, but of late I've been becalmed in the Godless regions 
of daylight.  My posting was a special effort to maximise the piratin' 
opportunities for others, lest I not find opportunity to post again until 
after the meridian.

For once Disney is probably innocent, as piracy was being romanticised 
in the C19th, if not earlier.

On a ferry from Bergen the other week there was a woman dressed as a 
pirate to entertain the kiddies (or at least she would have been 
entertaining them, if there had actually been any). We wondered if an 
airline will ever have someone dressed as hijacker to welcome kiddies on 
board? They could employ that policeman who upset the 
professionally-offended with a bin Laden costume.

motorcycles is the 'waiting for new parts to arrive in the mail'
feature. :)

Waiting for spare parts! Blimey, you are lucky to find spare parts. As a one 
time owner of a Jawa I discovered that there were no such things as spare 
parts. You and the blacksmith had to make your own.
