Immigration to Ireland is now 3 times that of the US per capita and 7 times that
of France.

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern (April 23rd 2007) has admitted that this cannot continue.
"Our capacity to continue or to move beyond the 10% figure, I would have grave
doubts about that".

He was referring here to the alleged level of 10% of non-nationals as shown in
the 2006 Census. It is now widely accepted, including by government ministers
that the actual figure is far greater.
