Call for rise in illegal aliens allowance
The Irish Refugee Council says the living allowance for asylum seekers is the
only welfare payment that has never been increased.

The group says the payment made to asylum seekers who are awaiting a decision on
their claim is just €19.10 a week.

The payment has not changed in eight years, despite rising inflation and costs
of living.

The council wants the payment raised to €60 per week for adults and €35 for
children, which it says would immediately raise 6,500 people out of extreme
poverty.

In its pre-budget submission, the IRC is calling on the Government to do
something immediately to help people that are living in Ireland, but are not
allowed to work.

Story from RTÉ News:
http://www.rte.ie/news/2007/1127/immigration.html

As your pondering the idea of Illegal aliens in Ireland getting even more money
then they ever deserve (they are illegal and deserve deportation, not handouts),
you might want to hum along to this little ditty...

Brand New Leather Jacket

We came to England through The Tunnel last night, (that's right, that's right!)
We claim asylum now they're treating us right, (so right, so right)
Oh something tells me, Ahmed this is the place to be,
Cause here we're getting everything and we're getting it for free...

We came to England through The Tunnel last night,
We claim asylum now they're treating us right,
Your generosity is amazing to see,
Our friends in Parliament they all on our side,

Chorus
Oh I've got a brand new leather jacket and a brand new mobile phone,
The Brits they live in cartboard boxes while we get furnished homes,
Legal aid driving lessons central heating and free bills,
Oh we get all the benefits and you get all the bills....

They drove a lorry from Ikea straight away, (you pay, you pay)
TV's and furniture, it was mostly okay, (you pay, you pay)
But the flat it was unsuitable, the counsel 's run by fools,
After crossing fifteen countries, we need heated swimmingpools...
Chorus

We go to garage to by nice motor car, (price is no bar)
Plush BM double U cause we've come so far, (price is no bar)
It costs many thousands but man oh what the heck,
We come back tomorrow and we pay with welfare check!

Chorus repeat

We take our trollies 'round Tesco's each day, (you pay, you pay)
Piled high with goodies, oh that is the way,
Food and drink and CD's phone cards and blue jeans,
Old lady she get angry so we stole her tin of beans,
Chorus

We get TV licence gas electricity, (for me, for me!)
Your generosity is amazing to see, (for me, for me!)
You even pay our phonebills so we call Afghanistan,
Tell all our friends to come here and live on Englishman!
Chorus

Our friends in Parliament they all on our side, (cock-eyed cock-eyed)
Sometimes they talk tough, but you know it's a lie, (cockeyed cockeyed)
Immigration is a good thing, on that they all agree,
The only ones who'll stop it are the wicked BNP!
Chorus

Oh I've got a brand new leather jacket and a brand new mobile phone,
The Brits they live in cartboard boxes while we get furnished homes,
Legal aid driving lessons central heating and free bills,
Oh we get all the benefits and you get all the bills....

I'd say the Cantillons would have been glad of it when they came here first
if they were Huegenot refugees from France.

Or they may have just taken what they wanted if they came with the Normans,
or whatever later wave of invaders they arrived with.

Or maybe your ancestor just jumped ship, and by the time he realised it was
Limerick, the ship was already gone.

You say what?

Nice job, Ray. Not only can you not tell the difference between asylum
seekers and illegal immigrants, you also affiliate yourself with the
British Nazi Party.

Something about "true colours" come to mind . . .

To you, maybe. To everyone else there is a very clear distinction.

So? It is still the British Nazi party, from their manifesto to their
history to their dress. Tart is up any way you want, a fascist is still
a fascist.

You need to be more careful about the company you keep. Oh, I forgot,
you were once one of these, weren't you?

As opposed to plastic paddy phonies that pretend to be freedom fighters
from a careful 3,000 miles away.

The monkey game is every bit as sensible and coherent as your fascist
twaddle.

More so, in fact.

I'm not a plastic paddy, if you bother to look back you'll find my posts from
1998 or 1997 alerating the Irish people on this newsgroup about the influx of
illegal immigrants!

"Commie" is it? I don't think you would really know what one of those
was if it bit you. Anyway, far better a liberal than a Nazi.

Indeed - a fellow traveller. There were lots of people who said exactly
the same thing after the end of WWII.

Well, I don't know what "alerating" is, but you need to learn the
difference between asylum seekers and illegal immigrants. Of course, to
the likes of you, the distinction is too subtle - much better to scream
mindless epithets at all of them.

Yes, a sig from one of the principal philosophical icons of German

If you feed them, they will keep coming back. Let Ray have his free
speech, I have no interest in censoring him. He can post till doomsday
for all I care. But you have the power to deprive him of what he
craves most: attention.

His idiocy survives because you give him an audience. It's your
choice.

Yes, I take your point, but we can also have some fun at his expense.
He's generally not smart enough to know when his leg is being pulled,
and he certainly deserves to be held up to public ridicule.
