A Place in the Sun?

hi folks

does anyone remember this rather depressing offering from the early 80s? The 
best i can recall is that it involved a young girl who, because of an 
abusive father, ran away to margate (i think) and i remeber some kind of 
fairground connection.... after 20-odd years, she, and this drama, still 
sticks in my mind...

a bit more to remeber...

 one of the themes of the drama was that the poor girl used to 'wet the bed' 
on account of the stress...
