Seaview - 1983 BBC
Can anyone remember this? I used to love it - it was fantastic (I
don't care what TV Cream say about it)... Someone must have it on
video somewhere, please?

Quote from the BBC's website.

"An up-to-the-minute sitcom for children, set in a recognisable world
of discos, teenage romance, heavy-metal bands and Space Invader
machines.

The episodes centred on the Seaview Private Hotel. Sandy and George
Shelton are teenagers helping their parents to run the newly opened
hostelry. A bright, modern girl, Sandy has strong opinions and the
courage to see them through - when her parents refuse to pay the
children for their help, she urges them to strike; when her father buys
her mother a real fur coat, Sandy campaigns against it and sets up her
own ecological group; when her parents are taken ill, Sandy and George
take over the running of the hotel, introducing their own money-making
schemes.

The first series also carried a sub-plot about their friend Duncan's
heavy-metal band, which Sandy wants to join. Typically, when she
finally does so, she tries to persuade them to perform her own
compositions. In the second series, Sandy - just about to turn 16 -
encounters romance when she is smitten by Ian."

Of course I remember Seaview. How could I ever forget. My best friend Carla
of 26 years played Petra in the series. Her mum has the whole series on
video so yes there is someone out there that taped it.
