Mountainland Award

Open to all genres. Short Fiction, Novels, Non-fiction. Monthly and
quarterly awards.


Contest Details:
The Moutainland Short Fiction Award is offered monthly.
The Mountainland Creative Non-fiction Award is offered monthly.
The Mountainland Full-length Fiction Award is offered quarterly.
All Awards are open to all writers, whether unpublished or widely
published.


Both Fiction Awards are divided categorically in the following genres:
  Mainstream
  Action/Adventure
  Fantasy/Science Fiction/Horror
  Historical/Western
  Mystery/Suspense


The Creative Non-fiction Award is divided categorically in the
following genres:
  Anecdote (less than 150 words)
  Short Personal Essay (less than 2,000 words)
  Personal Essay (2,000 to 8,000 words)


Prizes are awarded in each genre.  Entries may be submitted
(separately) in more than one genre category.  Multiple submissions OK.
No simultaneous submissions.


All entries must be unpublished.


Reading fee: $10 per submission for Short Fiction and Creative
Non-fiction Awards, $25 per
submission for Full-length Fiction Award.


Prizes:


Short Fiction Award:


  Grand Prize wins $100 and publication on our site.
  Each Genre Prize wins $20 and publication on our site.


Creative Non-fiction Award:


  Grand Prize wins $100 and publication on our site.
  Each Genre Prize wins $20 and publication on our site.


Full-length Fiction Award:


  Grand Prize wins $250.
  Each Genre Prize wins $50.


Due Dates:


The last day of every month for Short Fiction and Creative Non-fiction
Awards.
March 31st, June 30th, September 30th and December 31st for Full-Length
Fiction Award.
