Sheringham youth hostel
Starting to think about holidays this year, and wanting to take our
year-and-a-half year old to the coast. I'd rather like to revisit some
of the places of my youth so we're thinking of heading to
Sheringham/Cromer area. Probably for a couple of days, and it'd be
useful to have access to a kitchen so we're considering youth hostel.
It's ages since I've been in a youth hostel, and the quality was
somewhat variable, which never bothered me when I was younger but might
be an issue now.

So, does anyone have any experience of the Sheringham Youth Hostel? I
know they'll take young kids. I've found one review on the web which was
not very complementary!

www.bug.co.uk/reviews/hostels/Europe/England/Norfolk/Sheringham/sbr/date_desc/3691/sheringham-yha.htm)

Any other opinions or other options?

TIA

Have you thought of on-site caravan rentals? There are plenty of very
nice sites around the area - we stayed at one near Holt which had a
restaurant/bar and was well-landscaped for privacy.

I've not been to Sherringham for about 5 years but when I was there it
was fine. There's another review at
http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/east-of-england/hostels/Sheringham/Reviews.aspx?rID=74

Weekdays it can be busy with school groups but weekends it's a lot
quieter.

I like the previous reviewers ability to hit themselves on the head with
the toilet roll holder whilst it was falling down.
