Where is it?
Just watched a prog. (BBC2) on sleep deprivation. The unfortunates were
locked up in what was described as "a disused nuclear bunker".
Did anyone catch this and recognise the location?

Having seen the whole thing now, I have no idea. There was a shot of a
military guard, so it could have been on a military base. Then again
that could have been a filler shot to spice things up. The interior
looked quite modern and they entered via a staircase rather than a
ROTOR bunker bungalow and tunnel, so that would rule one of those out.
I was wondering from reading the credits whether it could have been
shot in the USA, but then again the interior fittings looked British.
When they emerged at the end, they walked off down a path, interesting
composed shot perhaps? Entering the bunker, they went in at ground
level.
I'm sure someone will be along to tell us shortly though.

Yes, there were 13 amp power sockets on the wall, which would probably rule
out the USA. I think the odd shots of guards and barbed wire were flashes
from Guantanamo bay to "set the scene".

Did anyone get any screen grabs?

A few years back when I was in NZ and working at a bunker site we had a
film crew come in - it was incredible how many fixtures/fittings were
mocked up by their guys. Any chance that the site used for this
particular prog was given such treatment (possibly not even being any kind
of bunker at all!)?
cheers

I have been advised that there was a discussion of this Programme on
BBC Radio 5 in which it was stated that it was filmed in the Bunker
at (RAF) Bentley Priory ...

That would explain why no-one immediately recognised it. Apparently
the top level of the bunker is eventually going to be open as part of
a museum, though they can't let the public into the lower levels for
H&S reasons. Strange, as there doesn't seem to be a problem with that
sort of thing elsewhere.
