Peterlee Parachute Centre under threat of closure
A wind turbine is planned to be built at the nearby AKS factory which
is within the 1200m distance of the PLA. This will have a devasting
effect on the operation of student parachuting at the centre, almost
certainly causing it to close.

We are not against the wind turbine itself, rather the proposed
location. We are petitioning to have the site relocated outside the
1200m distance as required by BPA.

Full details can be found on the Peterlee forum on UK Skydiver -
www.ukskydiver.co.uk

A petition is also available to download and complete so we can
present as many names as possible at the planning meeting on Tuesday
6th Feb.

Please make the effort to try and help via this petition, email /
letter to the planning office of Easington Council, or on the Online
petition (once this goes live!)

Please return any signed forms by Tuesday 6th please so we can present
them at the meeting. These can be to the airfield or direct to myself
(address on the forum)

Thanks for your support!
