iTunes free   
A while back there was a discussion on various mp3 players and how the iPod 
ties you to iTunes (it doesn't, but the alternatives aren't well known). 
I've just read the following article (and followed the relevant link in the 
article) about RockBox, which allows a whole series of different mp3 
players to have expanded capabilities; ogg and flac support being the 
biggies for me. Looks interesting.

I'm semi-persuaded to ohl a purncish flash-based Pido from Beya, just to 
wipe it and stick rockbox on.
