trust
I told it all, and I didn't hold anything back. I shared the worst of my
life with another human being. It lanced the abscesses of my character and
drained out all the foulness. It established my trust in another person, at
least one person, that later grew into several.
For instance, I don't like to be blamed for another man's problems, or to be
set up to be convicted for crimes he himself did, or dumped on to suffer
penance for his own damned sin. I may not like it, but it is what he is
trying to arrange.
I have iniquities of my own. What they are, who they affect, and the price
I pay for them is my business. If I sin in part, it isn't his place to
project on me his sin in full.
