You must be doing something very wrong, we have several nude hiking
groups here in the UK, and they get by without a problem. The one
reported recently in a national newspaper was sensationalised, and a
few facts were stretched and many fabricated to make better reading.
Sadly it is the shock, horror stories that draw more attention, if
they had taken time to walk with the group, the reporters would have
seen a different story, but it wouldn't have sold papers quite as
well.

I've walked with nude hiking groups in Australia too, and not once did
we have a problem, I also know (Through the electric interweb.)
several freehikers in the US, they report no such problems, so perhaps
your group could do with a little education of the subject.

Freehiking is the fastest growing area of naturism, whilst clubs
struggle and close the independent nude hiker flourishes, and sadly
our national organisation has nothing to offer these independent nude
hikers, or indeed the beach naturist. The Naturist Society of America
is an upstanding example of how an organisation can attract ALL types
of naturist, its NAC shows how campaigning for greater freedom should
be done.
