I posted it because it's the best autumn poem I know.

I started writing a piece about flowers blooming and spiders growing fat 
in the warmth, the varied reds of Rose, May, Holly, Bryony and 
Bittersweet berries, amid the inescapable shortening days, but lo and 
behold, with the other things I had to do the equinox has come and gone 
and we're on the dark side already.
