Rabbit activity after dark?   
Rabbits were caught in our headlights on the road at about 20.00 hrs on 
Sunday last.

Do rabbits normally roam after dark? I would have thought the local fox 
population
would have thinned out the stay-out set.

Yes, rabbits are very active after dark and until not long after dawn.  It's 
normal.
Foxes are supposed to prey on them as a natural food but when they get too 
lazy they raid our bins and chicken pens.  So much easier.
