Eha's books are brilliant,a superb read on life in India as viewed
from inside the British raj.This is probably the second best (look out
for Behind the Bungalow) and concentrates on the wildlife of the
Empire frontier,in EHA's garden and around his bungalow, with some
interesting and often very funny commentary on life in the
RAJ.According to the preface "These papers were written during the
Afghan war and made their debut in the Times of India. Beautiful
engraved illustrations throughout.
