Aggressive butterfly!
While taking a well earned bask in the sun and our conservatory this
afternoon, a passing large bumblebee attracted my attention (they often
get in and cannot find the way out). Suddenly its seemingly aimless
wandering turned into straight line flight with a peacock butterfly in hot
pursuit.

The butterfly returned to bask (which how I know its species) and then
suddenly darted off in pursuit of another poor harmless bee!

Is this a symptom of 'global warming', or have I just been unlucky in not
seeing this behaviour before?
