Can this Triang part be replaces with a current Horby part?
I have a blue Hornby Triang 0-4-0 tank engine of the type marketed as Nelly,
Polly and Connie and also sold in Red with a large chrome dome.

The body securing screw which fits just above the rear buffer beam and is
counter sunk matt black is missing. Can any one advise a source of old
parts or is there a new Hornby one that will fit?

Thanks in advance.

Any 6BA countersunk screw cut to length will do.

Are you sure it's not 8BA?

To be fair I'm not.

The point is that a "spare part" is not needed.
