Motor for speed
Can any of you guys help me,

Im looking for a motor for a microjet, around 100-150grams, main thing im
looking for is speed, high rpm on a apc 4.2x4.2 50,000rpm would be nice,
1500w 4s Lipo 100a

a lehner 1530-6-hi amp is about the most savage motor that I can find, but
it's around £120, can anyone tell me if there are any other makes that would
be a good substitute?

Cheers

Mega AC 16/15/3

3s LIPO and the props you specified, but 50K RPM is unrealistic.
30-35k maybe. It is virtually uncontrollable flat out anyway on that.
Goes from incoming missile to dot in less than a second. Or steaming
pile of crap, if your reflexes don't keep up.

You MIGHT get away with a 16/15/2 and a pretty huge pack - that might
pull 40A plus on a smaller prop. And might get to 50K RPM.

But 1500W in a microjet? you are mad. It a very expensive accident
waiting to happen. If you want the lightest 1500W you an, you want a
tuned pipe 40 racing engine on maybe an 8x8 prop. THAT's lighter than an
electric, but the torque will spin the thing out of the sky.

4S 100A pack will weigh more than your quoted plane weight by itself.
And cost more than any motor you will ever put in it.

Theres plenty of big hackers that will do the power you want.

Bu that plane will never fly.

I know the plane will fly, I know of someone with this very setup, he
clocked it at around 49,000 rpm, and more than 99 amps on a 4s evo 30c
pack, but as you say the Mega AC 16/15/3-2 looks like a good medium-high
power set up, and a bit less extreme ;o) thats more what im looking for,
i'll leave the savage lehner motor for another time.

Re: Motor for speed
I have a Hacker B40 7L that would get you to circa 42000 on a 4.2x4.2 of 3s
lipos that would come at the right price if you wanted it. £50.00 posted.
