Smelling of....
A nice day 's flying, schools are back, workers are where they should be
and everywhere is tranquil again.
The heather is in bloom and the moors look superb.
Three flights of nearly 30 minutes each with a large glider and diesel
power pod.... no wind to speak of and what thermals there were dissapeared
shortly after I got there as cloud cover built up.
Two more flights with a 36" wingspan jobbie with a TT 07 hauling around
at a rapid rate of knots.
Back in the car, down the lanes towards home and luxuriating in the
strong smell of diesel and glow exhaust wafting from the back of the
car. Pure pleasure, wrapped around with such a heady mix of such superb
perfume.
Only bad point ? I forgot to take my lunch with me as I was in such a
rush to get out and get flying !

I admire your pluck,,,
Pressing on relentlessly even in the face of imminent starvation ;-)
But seriously, Congratulations on a great day,
It is far better to leave your lunch at home than to forget to bring some of the
truly important bits.
Over the years I have seen people show up after driving LONG distances only to
find that they forgot to bring the Tx, or the wing,, or fuel,,,
the list goes on and on.
