Which model do you suggest to get (I'm an absolute beginner)?

I've been out of the scene for a while following an accident so I'm not too 
up on current machines. I use a White's Sierra Spectrum myself and I would 
recommend anything by White's. Also look at Garret and Fisher. Just remember 
you will be better off with a good second hand machine than a poor new one.
