What a weekend, had yesterday off to take Georgie in for her
operation, then went to the stables to ride out with my good friend
then go out for dinner.

Started off ok, dog went in, I got to the stables to get a call from
my friend in a panic saying her horse was down. Found her stuck in the
small running beck, probably been there all night, it did not look
good.  She was soaking wet, plastered in mud and looking very
miserable.

Got her to the yard and she was leaning badly to one side, I thought
it was pretty bad, suspected Colic being that she was probaly laid/
cast all night in the water and mud. Sadly she collapsed and died few
hours later after a visit from the vet, my friend is distraught, I
can't do anything to ease or help her.

Went to the vet to pick the dog up, then got a call to say that the
horse that had just died, the mare in the next field just gave birth
right next to her, a little filly foal.

Nature definitely has her ways indeed
