Amazingly talented foal
I am the proud owner of an amazingly talented foal. Tyche managed to
CAST herself in a 20x40ft barn!!!!!
Luckily I was there at the time. Just grabbed her by a hind fetlock
and pulled her over. What a super calm temperament: she just let me
roll her, then calmly got to her feet and started eating hay (which
until then she had been using as a lovely soft bed, much to Chindato's
disgust).
Anyone out there want a very pleasant, lovely looking, athletic but a
bit dumb foal?

Very lucky you were there! I have a friend who used to keep lots of horses,
she always reckoned they would get cast in the big stables rather than the
smaller ones! We've had a couple get cast here in our small stables, but
they've had colic at the time... ;-(
Good job she's still small, too.... reminds me of the time Ben reared up in
the trailer and got his front legs over the breast bar - I just picked them
up and shoved him back again!! (He was 12 hh....)
Calm temperament is worth a LOT in my mind - hope she stays that way! If
she's also good-looking and athletic I should think she'll easily find a
good home - even if she's not quite the brightest cookie in the jar - in
fact that can be an advantage.... compared to working with cunning ponies
who divert all their energy into finding a way round what you are trying to
get them to do!
Cheers
